There was a kid in my fifth grade class named Jesse. Once the teacher was telling us to never go in the Saint John river and Jesse said that he lost his shoe in the river. One kid said “Were you like driving across the bridge and just chucked your shoe out the window?” and imagining this made us all laugh and I think about that  whenever I cross that bridge now.
